Policy and Procedures
Regular Attendance & Arrival Time – Attendance is very important and will enhance your learning capability. If you cannot come to class, please be sure to call, text, or email your dance instructor. Please arrive 5 minutes early to put on dance shoes.
Dance Attire & Hair – Leotards, tank leotards, tights, biker shorts, crop-tops, sport bras, dance shorts, jazz pants fitted at the waist and unitards. Jeans and baggy clothing are not acceptable dance attire. Required dance wear and shoes must be worn to all classes. Hair is to be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.
Tuition for Lessons – Lessons are payable the 15th of the month at 2 months at a time. Tuition is based on an 11 month program, August – June. Even though some months have 3 weeks, other months have 5 weeks, and it averages out over the course of the 11 month program. Please do not deduct classes missed from your tuition. When there are 5 lessons in a month, you receive the 5th lesson free. This compensates for an occasional lesson missed due to illness or when a holiday falls on the day of the lesson. All students enrolling will be signed up through auto-pay.
Registration Fee -- A $30 registration fee is due once a year. It is valid from August through July.
Late Payments & Fees -- Please add a $20 late fee if paid after the 15th of the month. Please add a $35 fee to any bounced check.
Withdrawals -- There is a two-month minimum for all lessons due the 15th (unless it's a holiday, it will be due the 14th). 30 day's notice is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must be done in person at the registration desk and will not be accepted over the phone, email, or with a teacher; please complete withdrawal form. For example, lessons are due the 15 of February for the months of March & April, you must complete the form by January 16th in order for it to go in effect for March and April payment.
Makeup Lessons – Missed classes may be made up within a two-week period from time of absence in any age/level appropriate class (style may vary from class in which you are enrolled). Please check with Director first to be sure there’s room in the class.
Costumes – All students will be required to purchase one costume per dance class in the duration of the dance year. This costume will need to be ordered and paid for in November. This costume will be for your individual class. You will wear this costume on several occasions since we do performances at local festivals and fairs. All students will participate in our recital with their costume. The costumes vary in price from $65- $90 each. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON COSTUMES.
Pictures -- Pictures are taken in the Spring time. All performing dancers are required to take a group picture even if you are not purchasing pictures.
Holidays Honored – Closed Halloween, Thanksgiving week, the weeks between Christmas and New Years, President’s weekend, Easter/Spring week, Memorial weekend, Independence weekend, and Labor Day weekend.
No Food and/or Drinks – Only bottled water is allowed in the dance studio at any time.
No Gum Chewing -- Please do not chew gum during class
Children dropped off and picked up – Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time periods before or after their class. Please pickup your child promptly when class has ended.
